Material Classification
Stainless steel pipes can be divided into Cr series (400 series), Cr-Ni series (300 series), Cr-Mn-Ni(200 series), and the outlet hardening series (600 series).
200 Series-Chromium-Ni-Manganese austenitic Stainless Steel 300 Series-Chromium-Nickel austenitic stainless steel.
301- - - - - - - - - -Good ductility for molding products. It can also be hardened quickly by machining. Good welability. Wear resistance and fatigue strength are better than 304 stainless steel.
302- -corrosion resistance is the same as 304, with better strength due to relatively high carbon content.
303- - - - - - - - - - -by adding a small amount of sulfur, phosphorus makes it easier to cut than 304.
304- - -18 / 8 stainless steel. The GB number 0Cr18Ni9. 309— has better temperature resistance than the 304.
316-Following 304, the second most widely used steel species is mainly used in the food industry, pharmaceutical industry and surgical equipment, adding molybdenum to obtain a special corrosion-resistant structure. Marine steel is also used for its better chloride corrosion resistance than the 304 stainless steel pipe. The SS316 is commonly used for nuclear fuel recovery devices. Class 18 / 10 stainless steel tubes also meet this application level.
Model 321-Similar performance to 304 except for reducing the risk of material weld corrosion with titanium addition.
Series 400-Ferriite and Martenite stainless steel.
408-Good heat resistance, weak corrosion resistance, Ni. of 11% Cr,8%
409-The cheapest model (British American), usually used as a car exhaust pipe, is ferrite stainless steel (chrome steel).
410-Martenite (high strength chromium steel), with good wear resistance and poor corrosion resistance.
416-Adding sulfur improves the processing performance of the material.
420- "Blade Class" Marstenite steel, similar to the earliest stainless steel of cloth high chromium steel. Also used for surgical knives, which can be done very bright.
430-Ferrite stainless steel, for decorative use, for example, for automotive accessories. Good formability, but with poor temperature resistance and corrosion resistance.
440-High strength blade steel, with slightly higher carbon content, achieves high yield strength and a hardness of 58HRC,, which is among the hardest stainless steel. The most common example of the application is the "razor blades". There are three common models: 440A,440B,440C, and 440F(machining).
